Young girl traumatised by stranger who followed her to and from school

A young girl has been left traumatised after she was followed to and from school by a man in Hawkesbury this week.

Police said that the 11-year-old girl was walking to school along Alexander Street around 8.40am on Tuesday when she noticed a man watching her on the other side of the road.

That afternoon, as she was walking home from school, she noticed the same man standing on Colonial Drive watching her.

When the girl got home she then heard a knock on her door and a male’s voice.

The youngster later notified her parents of the incident who then contacted police.

Detectives investigating the child approach would like to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 30-40 years old, balding grey hair with a grey goatee.

He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt and blue shorts.
