“It’s Friday the 13th and coincidentally Dan’s birthday. What could possibly go wrong?”
Young Gold Coast independent filmmaker Britt Kynde is hoping to take Australia by storm after making a splash in New Zealand with her quirky, yet terrifying feature film Cursed.
The hilarious comedy/horror was the only Australian feature film to be showcased at the Arohanui Film Festival in New Zealand this year and had audiences in stitches of laughter with its unique and hilarious style.

Kynde, who also stars in the film, says she is proud to have created something a little more unique.
“I wanted to make a feature that lets you observe the dynamic of all of these quirky characters trying to make sense of the strangest situation any of them have ever faced,” she said.
“As Grade One Productions debut feature, Cursed is the perfect blend of humour and wit that makes you put yourself in someone else’s shoes, as strange as they might be.”
Dubbed as a film reminiscent of Kevin Smith’s Clerks and with classic dry humour that both Aussie’s and Kiwis can relate to, Cursed is a comedy you won’t want to miss!
