Young man killed in NSW crash

A MAN in his 20s has died after losing control of his motorbike and crashing through a fence near Newcastle.

The fatal accident happened at Cessnock just after 3pmAEDT on Saturday.

The 21-year-old was riding along Subiaco Avenue when his motorcycle left the road and crashed through a fence.

The rider was rushed by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital where sadly, he was pronounced deceased.

Police from the Central Hunter Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
