Young tennis stars have a hit out north of the Coast

THE 2014 season of the Asia-Pacific Tennis League Queensland Conference continues at Beenleigh Tennis Club from 6:00pm on Friday night.

This round will decide the teams that will play off in Sunday’s final for the chance to
represent Queensland at the ATL playoff during the 2015 Australian Open in Melbourne.

Fans will be able to see some of the world’s best take to the court representing one of six Queensland teams with a chance at the title. World no. 62 Ajla Tomljanovic (Sunshine Coast Breakers) and Grand Slam doubles finalist and Ipswich local Ashleigh Barty (Shaw Park Sharks) will join a stellar line-up in the women’s draw.

In the men’s world no. 127 James Duckworth (Shaw Park Sharks) and world no. 136 Jason Kubler (Tennyson Volt) return to Australia to bolster their respective teams after incredible 2014 seasons.

See these players in action, plus many more talented Australian stars on the rise in the world.

The Asia-Pacific Tennis League is an exciting new concept contested under the shortened Fast4 format designed to provide fast, action-packed contests.

Players compete for their respective teams across the five ties, with the top two
teams competing head to head in the Queensland Conference final at the Queensland Tennis Centre in December.
