Police have not speculated on the cause of the woman’s death, but have confirmed dozens of revellers were charged with possessing and supplying drugs.
69 people were charged with drug supply and possession offences, while 23 others were issued cannabis cautions.
The commander of the police operation, Assistant Commissioner Frank Mennilli said that police are disappointed at the behaviour of many revellers.
“The police operation is about minimising harm and providing a safe and secure environment for revellers to have a good time,” he said.
“This number (of charges) is alarming and disappointing, especially after we warned revellers about the dangers of drug use.”
Police will prepare a report for the coroner on the woman’s death.
