Youth Week celebrations kick off on the Gold Coast

Youth Week is getting ready for a string of stellar celebrations, once school holidays start next week.

Giving teens a safe, supervised space to hang out in, participants will be able to take part in activities and events that they may not normally be able to at various locations around the Gold Coast.

Run by Wesley Mission Queensland as an initiative of the City of Gold Coast, this free event for 12-17 year olds hopes to celebrate youth.

Kid’s can meet up at various locations around the Gold Coast to take part in Life Music activities, inflatables, tie-dye and art activities, plus loads more.

There’ll also be food, prizes and competitions so that there’s something for everyone to take part in.

Pacific Pines will hold a celebration on Monday from 9am-5pm at the Pacific Pines Community Hub.

Runaway Bay will hold one at the same time on Tuesday the 9th, at the Runaway Bay Youth Centre.

Nerang’s Youth Week Celebrations and will be held Wednesday the 10th at Bert Swift Community Halls, as will Currumbin’s Youth Week Celebrations.

And, Coomera’s Youth Week Celebrations will be held on Thursday the 11th, at the Coomera Community Centre.

The Wesley Mission is a non-profit organisation, which relies on community support, government subsidies, corporate and private donations.

The theme of this year’s Youth Week is unlimited – celebrating the boundless energy young people bring to our communities and encouraging them to look to the future and see limitless possibilities.
