Zac Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to star in Baywatch remake

American heart throb Zac Efron is reportedly in talks to whip on a pair of red shorts to star in a big-screen remake of Baywatch.

Efron is reported to be starring alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the big-screen adaptation of the hit TV series, which ran from 1989 to 2001 starring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.

In the film, Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will star as rival lifeguards in Malibu, who have to put their differences aside to save their beloved beach from an oil tycoon.


Seth Gordon has recently been added as director and if everything goes to plan, production for the film will start in early 2016.
